Day 6
URGENCY & Proximity
The start of the new year is always a good time to look back and reflect on the year that has just ended. Before you begin to pray today, take a few minutes to reflect specifically on the things God has done for you this past year! Take time to Thank God and praise Him for His goodness! If you had an opportunity today to tell someone all that God has done for you, what would you say? Write it in your prayer journal.
As you pray today, think through the list of people you’ve been praying for. Is there someone on that list who needs to hear from you what God has done or is doing currently in your life? Pray that God would give you an opportunity today to share this with at least one person. We don’t always have to leave home and fly over seas to be used by God. Jesus actually kept the man in our Bible reading today from going with him and told him to focus on those who were already in his life. Today that is our focus as well.
Mark 5:18-20
“As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed kept begging Jesus to be with Him. But Jesus would not let him; instead, He told him, ‘Go back home to your own people, and report to them how much the Lord has done for you and how He has had mercy on you.’ So he went out and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and they were all amazed.”
